The SF Biz Journal just confirmed the SI story independently. Wolff and Garber have a press conference tomorrow and John Fisher will be in attendance. As will Mike Crowley.

Great news. Should be a fun party at the Brit for the allstar game.

Wouldn't it be funny if the supposed offer to Capello to coach in MLS is from the Earthquakes? New team ready to play for the 2008 season. No established players (were all robbed and shipped to Houston). No better way to attract not only fringe fans, but also maybe some big name players if the manager is none other than Fabio Capello of recent Spanish Champion Real Madrid. I am sure the smart people under Wolff are thinking along these lines.
